Angry Smash is Southend's first and only destruction venue, operating out of Unit 4 on Towerfield Road in Shoeburyness; and it bills itself as the UK's most immersive experience for good reason. While most venues hand you a pile of crockery and step back, Angry Smash stages its rooms like a fully furnished space waiting to be wrecked, with everything from wardrobes and chest of drawers to mirrors and household electronics making up the set. It's a more theatrical setup than the average, and visitors consistently notice the difference. What really sets Angry Smash apart, though, is the Vehicle Smash Experience; a weekend-only session where guests take heavy-duty tools to a full-sized vehicle. Cars, caravans, and even a Luton truck have all met their end here. It's genuinely one of the most unusual experiences of its kind available in the UK.

What can you smash?
The rooms at Angry Smash are stocked with a deliberately varied mix across three size categories. Large items include chest of drawers, wardrobes, tables, and big mirrors. Medium items bring in household electricals, lamps, smaller mirrors, and large picture frames. Crockery, glassware, and china round things out for those who enjoy the satisfying crash of something more delicate. Stock varies session to session, but the fully staged setup means each visit looks and feels different rather than just a table of plates. A new Crockery Carnage option is also available: a dedicated glass and crockery-smashing experience with a large table of smashables plus a bucket of random items per participant, designed as a high-energy, focused session for ages 12 and over.
What to wear?
All PPE is provided and must be worn at all times inside the room. The full kit includes overalls, gloves, safety glasses, a helmet, steel toe cap boots, and a full face shield. It's one of the more comprehensive safety setups in the category, and the boots being included removes one of the most common preparation headaches for visitors. A safety briefing and guidance is given before every session begins. Sessions get warm; dress comfortably underneath the overalls.
